At first glance, this house in Clinton, Maryland, looks like any other two-story house. The same red bricks, the balcony with white columns.
However, it is worth going a few steps aside and the real secret of the building will be revealed to you: the ecologically clean house is buried under a thick layer of soil.
Thanks to the natural thermal insulation, a significant saving of energy resources was made. The owner pays an average of $150 per month for utilities.
The total area of the house built in 2006 is 300 square meters. Despite its unusual appearance, the house has all the
conveniences of modern life: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a detached garage for two cars, a fireplace and a kitchen with a separate dining area.
Currently, the eco-house is being sold for $425,000. The sales announcement joked that the home’s new owner would be safe in the event of a zombie apocalypse.
Interest in the construction of eco-houses is growing every day. Projects that once seemed fantastic are being implemented and showing amazing results.
