Over the past four or five years, Kathy Ouma has developed a tradition of giving to people over the holiday season.
Kathy makes sure the delivery persons who bring her products have access to a choice of drinks and snacks by setting them out at her front door during this extremely busy time of year.
During his last three months of employment with Amazon, Karim Reed III was tasked with making a delivery to Kathy.
He drove up in front of her house in Middletown, Delaware, where he eventually arrived, and he parked his car there.
He continued to do what he always did, which was to carry the package up the driveway and leave it at the front door.
However, what he initially took for granted as a typical delivery task ended up being just what he needed that day.
His eyes were pulled to the chair on the opposite side of the porch as he set the package on one of the seats.
He noticed a basket there that had Oreos, crackers, water bottles, and soft beverages in cans. The individual delivering the packages was thrilled after reading the enclosed letter.
Please pack some food to enjoy throughout your journey, read a sign. I like how easy it was to purchase
gifts for the holidays. He responded by saying, ‘Oh, this is fantastic! some delicious snacks. Wow.’
‘Leave this place right now!’ Karim said as he searched the snack basket for anything to take. ‘I really enjoy this. It’s fantastic to hear this.
Karim danced happily as he walked back to his car, and Kathy’s doorbell camera gave him a front row view.
In a way that none of them could have anticipated, Karim and Kathy were able to give each other exactly what they needed on that particular day.
I could hear his infectious enthusiasm outside,’ she remarked. Karim, on the other hand, failed to remember to pack a lunch on that particular day.
He was getting hungry as the day went on, so it was only natural that he was thrilled to see that Kathy had left some treats on her doorstep.
Since Karim’s joyous dancing routines went viral, Kathy has received feedback from people in Amsterdam,
London, and Australia who followed her lead and provided refreshments and snacks for their delivery personnel.
I was just raised in this way, she claimed. You have the power to change not only the energy of those around you but also the entire world.
