People frequently cry during wedding ceremonies as they witness couples make the commitment to stick by one another through good times and bad.
But before the bride can choose her outfit and make her way down the aisle, the young man must propose.
A man asking his significant other if she wanted to get married is seen in a TikTok video. As part of his proposal, the man played an audio clip of the future bride’s deceased father.
The man and woman are seen in the opening of the clip watching television while seated on a porch. The woman’s father’s audio recording,
who had recently passed away a few days previously, starts playing on the TV a few seconds into the movie.
As much as I am able to in the limited time I have left on this earth, son, you have my consent.
‘I am certain that you care for Emily and that you love her. You have my blessing, my son, and the blessing of God.
When the young man is about halfway through the video, his soon-to-be fiancée, who has been moved to tears, watches the movie.
At that point, the young man gets down on one knee. She makes a U-turn and turns to face the young man who is poised to inquire.
The man informs her that he knew how important it was for her for him to earn her father’s approval in a low,
composed tone. When he asks, she is so overcome with emotion that she can only reply, ‘Yes, yes.’The young lady asks, ‘How’d you get that?’ as the initial shock wears off.
What a kind and heartfelt gesture that young man made. May they both find pleasure in abundance.
